This Week’s Verse - 1 Chron. 28:9

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.”

1 Chron. 28:9

Notice that David only mentions two possibilities: either we are seeking God or we are forsaking Him.  As Jesus stated it, “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” (Luke 11:23).

Also note that God knows our hearts, intents, and thoughts.  If these things are what they ought to be, this fact should comfort us.  If not, beware!
