“..., to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

James 4:17

Sin involves more than simply doing what is wrong; it also involves not doing what is right.  Jesus’ picture of judgment in Matthew 25:31-46 does not show convicted criminals being called “cursed” and departing from God for eternity (not that they won’t) but instead who did not do what was right when the opportunity was presented to them.

Avoid the wrong, but also do the right.
