This Week’s Verse - Matt. 17:5

“This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”

Matthew 17:5

God spoke these words to the apostles at the transfiguration, when Peter wanted to honor Moses and Elijah along with Jesus.  God made the point that the time of the law (Moses) and the prophets (Elijah) were coming to an end, and now it was time to follow Jesus.

We have the obligation today to listen to Jesus, let His word determine all that we think, do, and say.  He has spoken.  Are you listening?
