This Week’s Verse - 1 Peter 4:16

“But if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.”

1 Peter 4:16

If we are doing something that is wrong, then we should suffer (:15), for “the way of transgressors is hard” (Proverbs 13:15). If we suffer while following Christ, then we can rejoice because we are “sharing the sufferings of Christ” (:13). It is a blessing to suffer for such a reason (:14).
